Prevent MRSA With HIBICLENS Antimicrobial Soap

HIBICLENS® IS A LIFELINE FOR ATHLETES

Sports are a great way for our kids to stay healthy, make friends, and learn life lessons. With every soccer practice and basketball game, we build family memories and experiences that last a lifetime.

We also know that sports can get physical at times. And we can usually treat bumps and bruises with ice, adhesive bandages, and rest. But there’s a more serious, difficult to treat, and potentially fatal infection that has been increasing in rates in recent years, affecting athletes of all ages: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

MRSA is a skin infection that is known as a “super bug”. The scary detail is that MRSA is resistant to antibiotics; and it is invading youth sports.

MRSA LURKS IN LOCKER ROOMS

Once only found in hospitals, MRSA outbreaks have spread to youth locker rooms and beyond. In fact, 50 percent of schools have seen MRSA outbreaks (according to the 2010 NATA Survey of Athletic Trainers).

Locker rooms make the perfect location for MRSA. They don’t get sanitized or cleaned often in the first place - plus the infection lurks in the dirty, wet clothes.

Even a high five can spread infections. Athletes in heavy physical contact sports, like wrestling or football, are particularly at risk.

Youth sports aren’t the only ones in danger: the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) experienced a mass Staph outbreak at their facilities in 2009. At least six players were affected by the infection, which caused one player to retire and sue the team for negligence.

If Staph can occur in locker rooms with million dollar athletes and state of the art technology, then consider what it means for your child who uses a middle school locker room.

The easiest way to combat MRSA is to prevent it in the first place. HIBICLENS can help.

HIBICLENS PREVENTS MRSA AND OTHER INFECTIONS FOR UP TO 24 HOURS

HIBICLENS protects your children from all the germs that they will come in contact with during their sports career, including MRSA.

On average, your child will come in contact with 300 surfaces every 30 minutes, and will be exposed to 840,000 germs according to the 2011 Tork® Report.

200,000 people are hospitalized every year with the flu, including 10 percent who are under the age of five (according to the CDC). HIBICLENS kills the virus before it reaches you and your children’s immune system.

Gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin, HIBICLENS requires application only once every 24 hours. Apply it every morning and enjoy your day worry-free for the rest of the day. HIBICLENS is convenient, long lasting, effective, gentle, and works immediately on contact.

Playing youth sports is one of the best childhood experiences our kids can have. HIBICLENS can help your young athlete have the best experience, in a safe manner. Celebrate your children’s touchdowns with peace of mind. With HIBICLENS, you can “bring home the memories, and not the germs”. Take the first step to protecting your family today with a money-saving coupon and more information at hibiclens.com.
