Saying Goodbye to Kile Glover - Let's Continue His Legacy! #KileGlover

Like many of you, I too have been touched by the loss of Kile Glover. Although I had never met him, I can imagine like my boys he was a smart, talented, and very gifted young man. I had the pleasure of meeting his mom, Tameka Raymond last month at her business in Alpharetta, Georgia.

My dad once told me that, "Bad things sometimes happen to good people." I'd have to say in this case his quote is very fitting. Having two boys myself, my heart aches for Tameka. From my own experiences, there is no easy way to deal with death.

I do however believe that Kile's legacy will continue to live on. To help his legacy please send donations to: Bank of America Acct # 3340 3823 9828 OR via PayPal email TheKileGloverFund@gmail.com

CARA B Natural Products, Inc., a company trailblazing new ground in the ethnic personal care category, has launched a Pledge to Care, Naturally, a national campaign that is intended to positively impact the wellness and development of your children. When: Saturday, July 28th

RSVP now

Over the past three and a half years we've made some incredible progress, from helping ensure that women get fair pay, to seeing two new women take their seats on the Supreme Court, to passing health care reform that is helping millions of women get access to preventive care and keep their families healthy, too.

Not every woman has heard about everything we've accomplished -- and that's exactly why we have to double down on our efforts. When we reach out to our friends and neighbors and have these conversations, we can help make sure they'll be at the polls with us this fall -- and at our sides the next time we show up to volunteer.

So RSVP for the Women for Obama rally this Saturday in Atlanta:

Worse than death - Penn State alums react to harsh NCAA penalties

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Michael Gutman graduated from Penn State University in 1971 with a master's degree in engineering. His son graduated from the school in 1997, followed by his daughter in 1999. Both went on to earn medical degrees at Emory University.

Yet, when Gutman walks around his neighborhood, he is shy about representing Penn State.
"I am afraid to walk out with my Penn State hat or T-shirt on," Gutman said. "I don't want people to make nasty comments. People have done that before."

Tosi Ufodike's, New Book “50 Parent Commandments"

Tosi Ufodike's, new book “50 Parent Commandments" is a comprehensive, simple, and honest guide to finding and hiring a Good Nanny. Tosi guides her readers through 50 Commandments based on her more than 14 years of experience and education in the childcare field. With humor, insight, and proven experience, Tosi Ufodike breaks down the daunting task of hiring a good nanny.

"The notion of having help for parents really stayed with me. It was a part of my foundation and still is to this day”, Ufodike says. “50 Parent Commandments is an essential guide for anyone who has a child and is looking to hire a nanny. It incorporates both advice and tips, as well as the most talked about section, how to nanny proof your marriage.” “As the economic crisis continues, more and more parents are forced to enter the workforce. They are looking for help with childcare, their focus has shifted to finding the best care for their children, and nannies are a great option”, Ufodike adds.
