“Shepherd Center is honored to have been selected by Melanie Massell as a beneficiary of this wonderful event,” says Bonnie Hardage, Shepherd Center Director of Major Gifts. “Support from the community has a direct impact, everyday, on restoring hope and rebuilding the lives of our patients. We are grateful to be included in this effort to not only build awareness about the wonderful work of seven charities, but also celebrate the beautiful talents of seven amazing ladies as they give of their time and talents to do good for so many in our community. “

Through music, the universal language, these organizations will benefit from the philanthropic efforts of these women. “It is indeed an honor to be part of such an incredible fundraising collaboration of talented female vocalists,” states Maryline Blackburn, the former Miss Alaska who beat Sarah Palin in the 1984 Miss Alaska Scholarship Pageant.

This event promises to be a night filled with Life, Love and Laughter. Porsche Foxx, founder of the Porsche Foxx Community Force, enthuses, "It's exciting to see this group of talented ladies focus on the community and provide an explosive night of entertainment!"

Joe Gaeta, President of the Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Fund, says, "The Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Fund is very grateful that the 'Barefoot Diva' Gwen Hughes chose our organization to support. We are excited to be a part of DIVAS WITH A CAUSE and are confident that it will bring awareness not just to our lung cancer fund, but to all the worthwhile causes represented.”
